I am currently working on a variety of personal projects that I hope will showcase my skills in concept art, drafting, set design, prop-making, costume design and most importantly my understanding and passion for all facets of Production Design.

In my experience since film school, I have found that training for Production Design specifically is few and far between. There are some excellent colleges in London though which are setting the standards, such as the Royal College of Art, the National Film and Television School (NFTS) and Kingston University. These tailor-made post-graduate degrees in Production Design have produced some of the most talented people working in the art department today in Britain and Hollywood alike.

To attend such a course would be a dream come true and something I’m not ruling out. However, as an international student these courses would not come cheaply. So, after doing much of my own research I have developed some personal projects which would be similar to the unit courses offered at the art colleges in London. I hope these personal projects will push my boundaries, enhance and develop many of my skills and give me the opportunity to work in genres and productions that I would not normally have the opportunity to do so in my smaller part of the world.

All these personal projects are just that: personal. They are not ‘real’ productions but merely a chance for me to practice and showcase my skills, whilst learning something more along the way.

Logline: A portrayal of the life-cycle of a modern day relationship through small snapshots of key defining moments, taking place within one room.

In my first process of Production Design, I explore the way in which I would visually tell the story. My initial design concepts for this short film (written by my friend Cal O’Neill who resides in London), explore the themes, motifs and sub-texts of my proposed design.
